His date and place of birth are given variously in the references as 1745 Dublin (Coffey and Morgan), c1745 Egremont, Cumberland (Gillen) and c1753 Ballywater Ireland (ADB)!
According to Mollie Gillen he was the Thomas Jameson from Cumberland who graduated MA TCD 1772 (Gillen, Alumini Dublinensis)
He had a wife (Gillen) named Rebecca (ADB) in England, and was survived by their son (Gillen, ADB) and two daughters (ADB)
He lived on Norfolk Island with Elizabeth Colley by whom he had five daughters (ADB) or three daughters and a son (Gillen); and he also had a son by Sarah Place (ADB)
